  After being a member since the mid 80's, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Forced auto-enrollment into programs and the credit union's methods of communication are horrible. Most importantly, their willingness to work with long-standing members who have an excellent history is NON-EXISTENT. I recently incurred my first "fee" due to a mishap on my part. I accidentally tried paying a credit card from the wrong account. Bank of America tried withdrawing the amount twice, two days apart. The first notification I received was a letter in the mail stating they were going to "take the collection procedures deemed necessary to bring about satisfactory results" against the $60 fee. When I called Aarica D., who did not even sign the letter, she informed me that information regarding notifications were sent out in there monthly "Newsletter". I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have enough junk mail/email to where I only pay attention to items that say something like, HEY THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION, YOU SHOULD READ THIS.. Not a newsletter. Like working with credit card companies, I was hoping for a little relief as my account standing has been excellent since the mid 80's. Aarica replied, "Just so I understand, you want me to waive the fees even though you are at fault?" I replied that it would be helpful and that I hope my long membership and good standing would be taken in consideration. Her curt responses and demeaning attitude were not appreciated. I was not treated as a member but more like some scum that has owed the credit union a bunch of money for quite some time. Did I mention that these fees had been on my account for less than 30 days? I hope someone finds this review helpful and banks somewhere they understand that there's competition on every corner.. and are willing to treat their customers as customers. I also hope high management at the credit union reads this review and changes some policies... not that they'll help me as I have already moved my money elsewhere.

  extremely irritating that you cant do a cash deposit at the atm here. i know this is a bank for old people but come on, your technology doesnt need to be as ancient as your patrons.

  Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is terrible. They answer the phone but will not help you in anyway. The website is worthless. I'm not sure why they even have one. I would recommend paying more money or higher interest at another bank just to not deal with Midwest Federal Credit Union.

  Account was opened for me with an auto loan. When the loan was paid off, it was over paid. Instead of mailing a check, they just deposited the refund into my saving account and began charging me $5/mo. They only send me statements quarterly, so they stole 10 bucks before I even knew it was there. Even Bank of America is more honest than this.
